Supreme Bodhi Zendo

The Five Precepts

I take up the practice of not harming living beings.

I will not take what is not offered.

I will not misuse sexuality, or sensuality.

I will practice gentle, truthful speech.

I will not deal in or misuse intoxicants.

The Five Precepts Ceremony

To be eligible to take the ceremony a student must fulfill the student stage requirements.

The fulfillment of the five precepts, after the ceremony has been given,
are a constant goal throughout your life from the student stage,
all the way through to the most advanced level.

Considerations:

A discussion about questions about your precepts practice is
brought to your teacher for private consideration and review.

The five Precepts are practiced every day, in everything we do and say, and improvement is expected.

Your choices are yours to share and are never brought to judgment by the Sangha
unless you choses to do so, out of sincere consideration toward self improvement.
